FAQ / Frequently Asked Questions

What is the BookWorm Games Archive?

The BookWorm Games Archive is an archival project created by WarRobotDoge. The website's purpose is to save all downloads, screenshots, and information on all versions of one of PopCap's most popular games, BookWorm.

What games does the BookWorm Games Archive offer?

The BookWorm Games Archive provides BookWorm Deluxe (and its Flash counterparts in 6 languages), BookWorm Adventures (in 4 languages), BookWorm Adventures 2, BookWorm GameBoy and BookWorm DS (which you can play on this site!), BookWorm Pocket PC/Palm OS (with an emulator!), BookWorm Mobile, BookWorm Xbox (with a download!), BookWorm and BookWorm Heroes for iOS, and knowledge about BookWorm HD, BookWorm for TAG TV, BookWorm BlackBerry, BookWorm Kindle, and BookWorm for Airplanes!

What happened to BookWorm and why was it removed?

No one really knows why EA removed BookWorm from their stores in 2016, but we do think it's because the game wasn't making money, and the game was simply getting old. BookWorm Adventures was released in 2006, so by 2016, it was already 10 yeard old. I know it couldn't have been because of licensing, because their trademarks still lasted for another decade.

How do I download games from the BookWorm Games Archive?

If I have a download for it, simply navigate to the game you wish to download, and you'll find a download link or instructions for obtaining the game. Some games may require an emulator or specific setup instructions.

Are the games from the BookWorm Games Archive free?

Yes, all the BookWorm Games I provide are free for you to download and play. However, some versions may require additional tools or emulators to run, and the website may provide these along with the games.

Do I need a special device to play the games?

Some games (such as BookWorm GameBoy, BookWorm DS, or BookWorm Pocket PC/Palm OS) may require specific hardware or emulators. The archive will provide instructions and necessary tools for playing these games on modern devices. However, you can play the flash version of BookWorm, and the emulated versions of BookWorm GameBoy and BookWorm DS right in your browser!

Will new versions of BookWorm be added to the archive?

The archive is dedicated to preserving existing versions of BookWorm. While new versions might not be added, the site may continue to share news, updates, or other downloads. If I find a new download for a BookWorm version, I'll update the download link and the site page.

How can I contribute to the BookWorm Games Archive?

If you have any missing versions, screenshots, or other assets related to the BookWorm series, you can give it to me and I'll upload it!

Is the BookWorm Games Archive affiliated with PopCap or EA?

No, the BookWorm Games Archive is an independent fan-made project. It is not officially affiliated with PopCap or EA but aims to preserve and celebrate the legacy of BookWorm games.

Burrrp, welcome to BookWorm. Lex loves burping.
