Have an appetite for words? Then join Lex the Bookworm in the hit word-puzzle game created by PopCap, makers of the best casual games this side of Jupiter! Link letter tiles left, right, up and down to build words to keep Lex sated and smiling. The bigger the word, the better the bonus. But watch out for burning letters — they could spell disaster for you and Lex!

If you need a quick word break, link letters fast in Action mode. If laid-back wordplay is more your style, go with Classic. No matter which mode you like best, you’ll relax and tune up your brain every time you play!

About

I love Bookworm. I own the game on Steam and EA. I own 3 original BookWorm boxes, multiple disks (some sealed!), and I have hundreds of hours on the game. BookWorm was released on February 25, 2003, being a predecesor to the MSN game, Bespelled. It was awarded the world's most downloaded word puzzle game in June, 2010, with 100 million downloads. This version of BookWorm was originally a Java game on the PopCap website, but was later changed to a flash version after HTML5 was in debut. There are multiple Flash remakes. There's a Java clone (one with and without a timer), and theres a Flash remake of the final update of BookWorm. You can play both versions below. Learn more at the Archives page.
